Care to take a nostalgic trip back to where it all began? Lotus Antiquities, the showroom where Bradley Blair Design was conceived, is preserved in perpetuity through these two virtual tours shot by Seattle photographer Brian Francis. Please come back in time to relive fond memories. You can almost smell the incense burning while the Tibetan monks chant.
Lotus Antiquities was open from January 1996 to August 2002 at 158 N. La Brea Avenue near the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles. During that time I took more than a dozen trips to Beijing, China working with Cola Ma, an internationally renowned Chinese antiques scholar and dealer to purvey collectible quality antique furniture. Additionally, I scoured scores of markets in Beijing for accessories such as leather trunks, lacquer boxes, calligraphy brushes, hand warmers, censors, textiles, scrolls and more in my tireless quest for special inventory.
These virtual tours are a welcome tribute to the showroom, and the many clients, neighbors, family and friends who over the years helped make it such a success.
